As you may be aware record oil prices have had a corresponding and significant impact on petrol, diesel and associated products including liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

Although produced locally in the Bass Straight, southern and Western states of Australia, this liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) may be exported and as such is traded on the world market under the Saudi Aramco Contract Price (CP). Importers of (LPG) into Australia's east coast must therefore pay international prices including freight and terminal charges to land the product in Australia.

Product and other increased costs including distribution, compliance with associated dangerous goods legislation and human resources have all dramatically increased the cost of providing product and services to our customers. We are unable to continue absorbing these added costs and therefore must increase our rate by 0.05 cents per litre, effective Monday, 2nd June 2008.  This adjustment is necessary to alleviate some of our increased costs and does not represent a total recapture of these costs.
